Welcome! I'm Riv Re, teenager and aspiring author. I post Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Tuesdays are for book reviews; Thursdays are for a weekly meme called "Character Dolls," which showcases character depictions I made online; and on Sundays I just wing it.
This blog is for my writing misadventures, my reviews, ramblings, and rants. My favorite genre is fantasy, so expect a lot of the unusual.

Warning: I've got an awful sense of humor. Don't blame me if you keel up and die from reading the jokes I crack.
Notice: I hold no responsibility for any deaths caused by previously mentioned jokes.

Enjoy and happy reading!

Blog Me MAYbe: Your Universe is Coming

Hey Blogger Buds,
The awesome Sara McClung is hosting a May blogfest, to try to blog every day in May!

I've decided to try putting a spin on things. It may not work, but I want to plan each post around a song lyric, or a quote, or something to that extent. Besides for that, I'll be keeping my posts pretty short.

Wednesday: MAY I ask something about you?

No? Oh well. I wasn't really asking.

Who would you LOVE to meet--living or dead, real or not real--that would change your life?

May the odds be ever in your favor,
Riv

  1. Oh. This is hard. I think if I could only do this once, I'd ask to see my Grandma. And if I could do it twice...my Grandpa. lol. If a third time...J.R.R. Tolkien.

    :D

  2. I would love to meet my favorite writer, the late great Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn, who's also one of my heroes and a huge inspiration on my own Russian historical writing. I'll always regret that I waited too long to send him a fan letter, since I assumed he'd live at least 100 and there was still plenty of time. I would thank him for having been such a big influence on me in so many ways, and for being an example to other writers. He was prepared to die for his writing, a concept many people today could never understand.

    1. That's amazing. I've never heard of him, but it's incredible to be able to connect with an author on such a deep level.

  3. Fantabulous question! I think I would pick Katharine Hepburn, I've always admired her independent spirit. I modeled one of my characters in my WIP after her :)
